The Family Selection Shiraz of the De Bortoli company is made with 100% Syrah grapes from the vast Australian region of Riverina. Harvested at the perfect degree of ripeness, the grapes ferment in contact with the skins for at least seven days at a controlled temperature. The wine ages in French and American oak barrels. Intense ruby red in color, it has floral scents and clear references to red and black fruits in jam, with well-balanced hints of black pepper and cardamom. On the palate plum and blackberry dominate, with an intense note of cocoa in closing, smooth tannins, good structure, for a long and persistent sip.
