Limestone marl is the dominant rock at Ölberg. Due to its specific orientation, cold air from the Palatinate Forest is constantly blowing in in the morning and evening, lending the wine its freshness and refined elegance. A long, full-leaf aging in large wooden barrels further enhances the salinity and pressure of this site. The dominant rock here is also limestone marl and red sandstone. The nose offers plenty of stone fruit, such as apricot and mirabelle plum. A slightly salty note paired with plenty of juiciness, a delicate texture, harmonious balance, and plenty of power. A true Palatinate wine!
