Alzero Cabernet Cabernet IGP - Azienda Agricola Giuseppe Quintarelli

As with Amarone, the grapes undergo a one-month drying process before being made into a wine that ages for eight years in large wooden barrels. This full-bodied wine reveals a complex array of aromas on the nose, including velvety plum, ripe cherry, and dried fruit, wrapped in delicate vanilla and a hint of cinnamon, complemented by delicate notes of marzipan and herbs. A subtle freshness of mint and cut grass rounds out the bouquet. On the palate, it is superbly balanced with fresh acidity and supported by fine-grained tannins that highlight the cherry fruit.
