The 2021 vintage is rated as very good throughout South Tyrol. Alois Lageder also holds the 2021 vintage in high regard. Cool nights between July and September ensure excellent aromatics and refreshing acidity in the grapes, resulting in white wines with plenty of juiciness and vibrancy. The 2021 vintage is considered to have excellent aging potential, which is particularly true for the Chardonnay LÖWENGANG. The nose offers a wealth of citrus fruit alongside tropical fruits. Spicy aromas and hints of vanilla and white pepper complement the initial impression. On the palate, it is wonderfully creamy and elegant with a perfect balance of all components, very precise and powerful. A slightly salty minerality and a fresh bite with a spicy note round out the experience. This is a true master of its craft. Rightly considered an Italian white wine monument, best aged for three, ideally five, years to reach its peak!
