About Rowland Cellars About Rowland Cellars Welcome to the Rowland Cellars web site! In 1991, Gerry and Linda Rowland reintroduced the Ramspeck label, more than 450 years after the Ramspeck family's first release in 1537, in Europe. The Rowland label was released in 1995 followed by the Cenay label in 1997. Rowland firmly believes that great wine begins on the vine thus he manages the vineyards so the fruit will reflect its unique soil and microclimate. As winemaker his goal is to enhance the rich, individual character of his grapes in a hand-crafted style using a combination of modern and centuries-old techniques. 4000 cases of wine (Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah) are produced annually, drawn from the appellations of Napa V

Since 1987, and with notable success, we have turned our size to an advantage by taking small lots of special grapes and make them into vineyard-designated wines, each with its own individual character and particular personality. This is a membership winery, where our members, called stakeholders, have the opportunity, but not the obligation, to help in the production of our wines by picking, crushing, bottling and labeling. Members purchase most of our production but we have enough wine to sell directly to aficionados nationally and for a few selected restaurants and local wineshops to carry our bottles.

The Weibel Family has been producing Champagne and premium wine, specifically Green Hungarian for over 75years, first in their native Switzerland and since 1939 in California. When Fred B. Weibel Sr. and his father Rudolf came to California, they brought wit them classic old world winemaking techniques and traditions, combined with a personal commitment to quality and excellence. Young Ridge
The property is located high at the top of a rolling hill and overlooks the town of Napa. Surrounding the Young family home, which represents eleven years of loving dedication to construct, there are two acres planted to Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon which sources the estate-grown, limited-production Young Ridge "ridge top estate' wine. The vineyard is situated on a slant for solar exposure throughout the entire growing season and has the advantage of a cool breeze each afternoon. While building their home, owner LeRoy Young responded to a game started by his grandchildren. They painted a happy face on unfinished drywall to surprise him. LeRoy then drew a larger happy face on another wall which pleased the kids so much that he eventually built a 20 x 20, lighted happy face which can be seen from Napa every evening. That symbol of family joy is also found on the Young Ridge wine label.
